The U12 Lionesses who have been split into 2 teams this season and will be known as the Whitehaven AFC u12 Blues & u12 Yellows will stand out this season when they become the first team in the club to wear the brand new Pink Kit, which has been generously sponsored by Michael Holmes who is the Director of Snap-On in the County!
The team which consists of 21 players over the 2 teams compete in the West Cumbria Youth League & CFA County Events, both indoors and outdoors.
This season also seen a change for the girls, with a Captain & Vice Captains chosen for both teams for the outside games rather than a different Captain each week, and this brings extra responsibility. They were chosen for the attitude, attendance and ability within the teams as well as showing Captain traits over the previous seasons.
The U12 Blues Captain will be Katie Kegg with Vice Captain Millie Clark.
The U12 Yellows Captain will be Sophie McKee with Vice Captain Ava Greeson!
Coach Rob Campbell said ‘I’m really over the moon to have Michael Holmes be so generous and sponsor the girls and not just one team, but two teams. It’s a real bonus that we get to be the first team in the club to wear the new Pink kit that the club selected. I really think they’ll stand out at all their games county wide this season and I really love that Snap-On will be part of the team.
