Whitehaven AFC Senior Ladies team were given a massive boost this week, when Shepley Engineers Ltd stepped up and offered to assist the team with a minibus for away games for the next season.
Coach Neil Hetherington said "We are overwhelmed by this offer from Andy Horn (Transport Manager) and the Shepley Engineering Ltd team. Without help like this, we would really struggle to give the opportunities players in this County deserve. It has already given them an opportunity to play Penwortham Ladies FC Development team, a game they won 4-1, and these games will only improve them moving forward."
