As part of the clubs 25th Anniversary year, later in the month on the 29th & 30th June we will be hosting our 3rd Annual Whitehaven AFC Lionesses & Lions Festival with Boys, Girls and the fantastic PAN Disability age groups from u7 to U14s all playing over the weekend!
This year has seen a record breaking number of teams entering the event from within the County and also further afield from the North East, Lancashire & Scotland.
What has been the bedrock of this event in the previous 2 years other than the fantastic kids playing, is YOU. The volunteers we have had over both days over the last 2 festivals has always been fantastic and helped the event run really smoothly and brought us together more as a club. This is that big chance each year where if you’ve enjoyed your son or daughter being looked after by coaches and volunteers all year round, giving up more hours than they probably care to remember, you get the chance to return that favour while being part of what will be a special weekend.
We are still looking for volunteers in some areas such as entertainment zone volunteers and car park volunteers etc and as always your help would be appreciated. If you can spare some time over the weekend please can you contact Rob Campbell on 07423133120 who can give guidance and support on all the roles and answer any questions.
