As we come to the end of another year, I want to take a moment to reflect on what has truly been a remarkable twelve months for our club.

Firstly, it has been an incredibly busy year right across the club. We have never been bigger,
stronger, or more energetic than we are right now. From our youngest players taking their first steps into football, to our coaches, volunteers, and supporters giving their time week in, week out, the growth of the club has been extraordinary. The buzz around the pitches each weekend shows just how much this club means to so many people.
One of the most exciting developments has been the progress on our new container stadium. Plans are now taking real shape, and this project represents a huge step forward for the club. It will not only enhance our facilities but also provide a lasting home that supports our future ambitions and gives our players, families, and supporters something truly special to be proud of.
This year also saw the introduction of our new CEO, Mr Joe McCluskey, which has significantly strengthened our management structure. Bringing in new leadership has helped us become more organised, forward-thinking, and focused on long-term sustainability. This is a key part of ensuring the club continues to grow in the right way, both on and off the pitch.
We have also been working closely with the FA to develop our club development plan. This has been an invaluable process, and we are incredibly proud to have been recognised as one of only a few thriving football clubs in the UK. This recognition reflects the hard work, dedication, and passion that runs through every level of the club.
Our children’s football festival was another huge success. Seeing so many young players enjoying the game in such a positive environment was a real highlight of the year. Planning is already well underway for next year’s festival, and I’m delighted to say our aim is to make it the biggest and best one we have ever held.
We also held an important coaches’ meeting, focusing on continuous CPD and the development of a club-wide coaching manual. This commitment to improving standards and sharing best practice ensures that our players receive the best possible experience and coaching as they progress through the club.
We seen the introduction of our new First Team Manager Brian Dawson who has some huge plans for the Men’s First Team in 2026. The ladies section under the leadership of Rob Campbell has seen some immense growth with new relationships built with some big sponsors.
Latterly we have been working with the amazing Shayla at The Groundwork’s Trust and also Rosehill Theatre to develop a community garden.
Our members clubbed together and collected a massive amount of food for The North Lakes Foodbank. A huge achievement!!
A huge personal thanks to our sponsors. Without you none of this would be possible!!
Finally, I would like to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who makes this club what it is — our volunteers, parents, children, players, coaches, supporters, and sponsors. Your continued support, dedication, and belief in the club is what allows us to achieve so much together.
On behalf of everyone at the club, I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. We look forward to another exciting year ahead, continuing this journey together. 🎅⚽
On behalf of the directors and committee.
